John Bunyan Baptist Church in Cowley, Oxford, is a Christian community of about 60 people, made up of different ages, nationalities and Christian experience.
We meet for our main service of worship every Sunday morning at 10.30am when there are also activities for children and young people. During the week smaller groups meet for prayer, worship and fellowship.
The church is a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Southern Counties Baptist Association and enjoys strong ecumenical relationships with other churches in the area.
The church building is open daily and is used by over 700 people each week as the premises is shared with the Ark T Centre- a large community arts project (which includes the Broom Tree Café), as well as a Child Contact Centre and a Portuguese-speaking Baptist church who meet on Saturday evening for worship. We support a small charity in Nigeria called the Centre for Children in Crisis (CENCHIC), caring for orphans and vulnerable children, where two members of the church work.
Our minister is the Rev Beth Allison-Glenny.
April 2014 year marked our church's 75th Anniversary.
